We have received new additions: From now on there are new variations of our popular grape seed spice mills in limited edition: “Indian Curry” & “Tomato-Herb-Garlic”.
On September 18 we started harvesting. Our Diva Pinot noir came in perfect quality in the cellar … afterwards there were a few days of rain. On the 22nd, in the most beautiful autumn weather, we continued with full ripe and healthy Zweigelt and Merlot grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand and we select directly in the vineyards. It is a real joy to harvest the crunchy berries. The Blaufränkisch grapes are small-berry – a merit of the hot summer and our work in the vineyards.
He is charming but never forcing. In his youth powerful and fiery, fruity and spicy. He loves to surprise and to change his face. He remains polite in the background but when his time has come, he inspires everyone and convinces with his character, dense structure, his strength, powerful body and yet inner peace. When he is getting older he shows his elegance and classy but never seems old…and although when he has gone, one has the impression that he is here forever. I am so happy that he is always with me: One of my seven Blaufränkisch variations.

Exciting times for us at the winery : The renovation is in full swing . In July everything should be finished ( new roof, tasting room , breakfast room , cellar, office etc .. ) , so at least that is the plan of our architect . Here you can witness the progress first hand – only , the dust and debris will be spared , we’ll take care about at the moment …
ProWein – THE worldwide leading wine fair – took place mid-March in Duesseldorf . We thank all our importers and retailers (and friends) for coming to taste the new vintages and to make the listings for the upcoming season . It was an amazing show again and we look forward to the next ProWein on March 19-21, 2017.
Really good bread, really good wine! On January 23rd, “Crust and Crumbs” will take place for the very first time. Barbara van Melle will accompany this event on behalf of “Slow Food”. From 10am to 6pm you will have the opportunity to join us in Vienna, Dominikanerbastei 11 and taste some of the best breads of Austria and – of course – our red wines! In addition, you can enjoy culinary specialities from K. Filippou, C. Petz, R. Thum etc.
End of 2015 Jean Baptiste and Ludovic – the “Wine Explorers” visited our winery on their tour through more than 90 wine producing countries. They wanted to stay one day – but stayed nearly one week.
