In 2015 there was a calm weather pattern in spring and after a
favorable blooming weather a hot and dry summer began. A
fantastic autumn followed with many sunny days and relatively cool nights.
After meticulous manual harvesting in several harvest rounds, the grapes
were sorted again at the winery. A selection of the best wines matured
in the cellar for three years.
Full-bodied, strong, noble. A special wine with aging potential,
intended for long storage. Our elegy in red.
In early Greek, elegy is a song of praise for the glory of wine
and is therefore dedicated to praise and thanks for the favor of
nature and the gods in this extraordinary harvest year.
David. Michelangelo Buonarroti created the world-famous statue of a
young man of perfect, imperishable beauty. The sculpture represents
the biblical David the moment he starts the fight against the giant Goliath.
David‘s gaze is on a point in the distance, drawing the viewer‘s attention to
the imminent victory.
In 1501, Michelangelo received the order for a colossal statue of David from
the influential Arte Della Lana, the wool weaver guild in Florence. He had a
huge Carrara marble block that had been stored in the cathedral garden
since 1468. Michelangelo was now to complete the plan drawn up almost
forty years earlier by the Domopera to add a David to the figure program
of the outer buttresses of Santa Maria del Fiore.
